The EU funded Water and Environment Support (WES) project organised on 23 March 2022 the second session of its coaching and capacity building activity for public and private bodies on public procurement in the construction sector in Tunisia.

The workshop gathered 35 key stakeholders who analysed the advantages of inserting sustainability clauses for sustainable public procurement in the construction sector. They discussed issues such as the role of life cycle cost analysis and carbon footprint for building materials in sustainable public construction procurement, along with the Life Cycle Assessment and Environmental and Health Declaration Sheet for the plasterboard pilot product and the sustainable management of construction site waste. The workshop’s agenda also included a presentation of the Brussels region ZIN project by Michael Morediellos, in charge of the circular economy unit at “Drees and Sommers”.
