The HOOP Project is creating a community of practice made of cities and regions to exchange knowledge on similar bioeconomy challenges, explore similar innovations and participate to specific workshops, via the dedicated platform HOOP Urban Circular Bioeconomy Hub. So far, already 26 entities joined the HOOP network, now counting 9 waste management and water treatment companies, and 16 public authorities, covering 11 European countries.

As manager of the community, ACR+ described the project and the benefits of joining the HOOP network during an EU Green Week Partner event last May. Watch the recording of Vitalise Europe’s Urban Bioeconomy here: https://hoopproject.eu/events/urban-bioeconomy-green-week-2021

ACR+ also joined the second Innovation Exchange webinar “Waste-to-value” hosted by the Circular Bioeconomy Cluster. The session focused on approaches to valorising and creating added value from what would be considered as low value waste streams – manure, wastewater and general biowaste (including food waste). ACR+ presented the goals of the HOOP project and underlined the importance of collaboration and stakeholder engagement with industry, academia, government and society. The recording is available here.
