Collaborative and circular food systems can significantly reduce pollution of the environment, in particular by addressing food waste along the agri-food value chain, and can at the same time improve health of consumers and increase the resilience of local economies and communities.

This  EU Green Week 2021 event will take place on 27 May 2021 and will start with the state of play of the Farm to Fork Strategy followed by the presentation of the innovative approaches of 5 European projects working in synergies (FOODRUS, CO-FRESH, FAIRCHAIN, LOWINFOOD, PLOUTOS) and a panel discussion which will address the sustainability of food systems at local and regional level.
