Fundació Formació i Treball recently acquired a 30 000 m2 facility near Barcelona. This will be the largest facility managed by a social enterprise in Southern Europe, managing 20 000 tonnes of textiles annually and providing work integration for 250 people.

The facility will allow for an increase in the annual volume of clothing managed by the organisation, which currently selectively collects 32.5% of all textile waste generated in Catalonia. The textile treatment production process, which involves clothing collection, sorting, classification for recycling, and pressing or packaging, is currently carried out across different warehouses of the foundation. The new facility will unify this entire process in a single plant.
