Greater Pamplona has embarked on a pioneering pilot project to enhance waste disposal accessibility for the elderly and those with reduced mobility. This initiative saw the installation of 21 adapted containers across five strategic locations within the Pamplona area, featuring modifications to aid easier access. These include lower openings for packaging and paper containers and a manual lever for organic and residual waste containers, designed to meet the same dimensions as the existing models in the region. The project, endorsed by the Committee of Entities Representatives of People with Disabilities of Navarra, aims to address the increasing complexity of waste separation and collection systems, ensuring no one is left behind in efforts towards environmental sustainability.
