The Sardinia Region has officially adopted its new Plan for Public Purchases (PAPERS 2024-2026) with a resolution on 18 January 2024, aiming to integrate minimum environmental criteria into public procurement processes. This initiative is aligned with the objectives of the National Action Plan for Green Public Procurement, focusing on sustainable development, environmental impact reduction, promotion of the circular economy, and enhancement of workplace safety and worker protection. The plan seeks to transform Sardinia's economic and societal landscape through inclusive participation of various stakeholders, contributing significantly to the Agenda 2030 goal of responsible consumption and production. The plan emphasizes collaboration with external bodies, research institutions, and professional associations, marking a pivotal step towards a circular and sustainable economy in the region.
