More than 40 municipalities are joining the 'Responsible Shopping List', an initiative to minimise waste generated in supermarkets and local stores. The campaign, promoted by ACR+ member Government of Navarra, is based on local stores to raise awareness among buyers and sellers.

As part of this initiative, visits are being made with technical prevention staff to stores, where information and material is provided on the environmental advantages of reducing waste generation when shopping. The aim is to influence daily routines that affect shopping, such as avoiding over-packaged products, using reusable containers for meat and fish or nets for fruit and vegetables, using reusable cloth instead of plastic bags, etc. In fact, to help in this change of habits, these reusable materials will be distributed at each information point.
