ACR+ member CITEO celebrates 30 years of action in the development of eco-design, selective waste collection and recycling. Their latest report shows 3 figures to measure the progress made in CITEO including 13 billion euros invested to mobilise citizens to sort, develop eco-design, install and finance separate collection and create recycling channels; 72% of household packaging placed on the French market was recycled in 2021; 2 million tonnes of CO2 avoided each year. 

 

However, results are not progressing sufficiently in terms of waste reduction, reuse and recycling. Therefore, 19 levers are presented that will allow us to accelerate the circular economy.
