ACR+ member Government of Navarra has announced a EUR 2.5 million grant programme from promoting improvements on waste management in public companies. The lines of action to be financed include new separate collections (especially bio-waste) and improvement of existing ones; construction of specific facilities for the treatment of separately collected bio-waste; and construction of new facilities for the preparation for re-use and recycling of other separately collected waste streams. Funding will be especially focused on projects such as separate collection of used cooking oil, textile and plastic recycling facilities, and the constructions of civic amenity sites.  

The beneficiaries will be municipalities or other local authorities or consortia set up by such local authorities, which are responsible for providing waste collection or treatment services.
