URBAN-WASTE Final Conference: "Waste Management in Tourism. Does It Even Matter?"

The culmination of the three-year-long URBAN-WASTE project, which includes ACR+ among its 27 partners, the conference titled "Waste Management in Tourism. Does it even matter?" summarised the outcomes of the project participants’ efforts to promote sustainable waste management in urban tourist destinations. Among the project partners are also ACR+ members ORDIF (the Paris Region Waste Observatory), the Lisbon Municipality and the Region of Epirus.

  • Panel discussion on IT solutions in waste management for a more sustainable tourism. Facilitated by Milosz Momot, Emerging and Creative Industries Unit at DG GROW
  • Panel discussion on waste at seas. Facilitated by Sotiris Raptis, European Sea Ports Organisation
  • Panel discussion on food waste in tourism – tools for its prevention. Facilitated by Ben Caspar, DG ENV
  • Panel discussion on the hospitality sector’s contribution to sustainable tourism. Facilitated by Olle Jonang, Vastra Gotaland and NECSTouR
