ACR+ member Greater Pamplona collected a total of 151,167 tonnes of waste in 2021, an increase of 1.39% compared to the 149,093 tonnes collected the previous year. In terms of waste recovery, the amount recovered was 61,237 tonnes, 3.91% more than 2020 when 58,934 tonnes were recovered. Once again, the largest amount recovered corresponds to bio-waste with 20,888 tonnes. It should be noted that in 2021, 9,521 tonnes of organic matter from the organic container were collected in the entire region, 383 more than in 2020, which represents an increase of 4.18%. Moreover, the recovery percentage of waste generated has increased from 18.0% in 2020 to 18.9% in 2021. However, the figures are still far from the targets set by the Waste Law of Navarre, which indicate the need to collect 70% of organic matter separately by 2027.Source: www.mcp.es (in Spanish)
