In 2021, 209,053 citizens from ACR+ member LIPOR's Municipalities delivered 17,813 tonnes of waste for organic and multimaterial recovery, from residential door-to-door and proximity selective collection with conditioned access, which represents a 17% increase compared to 2020. Therefore, in 2021 LIPOR received 14,437 tonnes of materials for recycling at its sorting plant and platforms and 3,376 tonnes of bio-waste at the organic recovery plant.

These figures are the result of the strong investment and commitment that LIPOR and the associated Municipalities have made to extend the door-to-door selective collection system and the proximity system with conditioned access to more residential areas, in order to maximise and increase the amount of materials to be sent for recycling.
