Those involved in collection, sorting and recycling are extremely attentive to the quality of packaging materials and graphic papers. It guarantees outlets for the recycled material and enables the circular economy. Every year, ACR+ member CITEO carry out checks based on material standards that meet the requirements of recyclers. According to the results for the year 2020 recently published, all materials combined are stable or slightly down. The rate of non-compliance observed by the Glass sector is less than 1%. Plastics quality levels are down overall and vary greatly depending on the standard. For the two graphic paper standards: a rate of undesirable materials 2 to 3 times higher than the thresholds allowed by the standards. The quality of paper and cardboard remains stable and slightly below the standard (-1.5 points).
