ACR+ member OVAM is launching two calls to support companies that invest in innovative recycling techniques to close the cycle of materials. A total of EUR 30 million will be available from the recovery funds to finance this support. The first call runs until 10 December. The aim is to accelerate the transformation of Flanders into a major recycling hub and to help realise a circular economy.

The support is aimed at recycling projects that convert waste materials (both locally produced and imported) into raw materials. The ambition here is to create a substantial environmental gain in proportion to the support provided. These can be environmental gains in the form of reduction of residual waste, detoxification of the cycle or reused quantities of recyclates.
