ACR+ member North London Waste Authority (NLWA)  published its annual report 2019-2020, detailing its key developments, activities and between April 2019 and March 2020.

In terms of the amount of collected residual waste, less waste was collected per household with 579.3 kg residual waste collected from every household in North London in 2019-2020 compared to 583 kg in 2018-2019.  Less waste was also sent to landfill than in the year before -5% of the total (40,891 tonnes) compared to 8% (46,622 tonnes) the year before.

On recycling, overall recycling rates, (recycling, composting and reuse), fell from 29.9% to 28.9%. In total the Authority handled 115,344 tonnes of dry recycling in 2019-2020 compared to 113,479 tonnes the previous year, an increase of 1,865 tonnes or 0.02%.
