Less than six months after its start, ACR+ member Sistemi Formativi Confindustria and its co-partners of the INSIGHT project are proud to share the project’s first result which paves the way towards the definition of a new professional profile, the Industrial Symbiosis Facilitator. It consists in a report aiming to identify training needs and skills gaps regarding the implementation of industrial symbiosis. Entitled “Industrial Symbiosis Facilitator – Key study based on current knowledge, skills and qualifications regarding Industrial Symbiosis“, the report is now available on the INSIGHT website.

Building not only on an analysis of current literature and existing training programmes but also on 30 successful case studies and 64 interviews with stakeholders, the report explores current knowledge, skills, and qualifications required by industrial symbiosis. It highlights interpersonal skills and legislation knowledge as instrumental to overcome the barriers hampering the implementation of industrial symbiosis.
