ACR+ member North London Waste Authority (NLWA) is now accepting applications for its £60,000 Waste Prevention Community Fund 2019-20. The Community Fund provides an opportunity for north London community organisations to get support to develop new approaches to tackling waste prevention.

More than 850,000 tonnes of waste are collected in north London every year. Much of this waste - food and electric waste, clothes, furniture and single use plastics - is preventable. NLWA therefore wants to support community-based organisations to tackle waste prevention issues.

The total amount of funding available for 2019-20 is £60,000, and individual projects can apply for funding of up to £15,000 to spend over a six-month period.
