DWOF

MABO, a Belgian secondary school located in Brussels and participating in the Don’t Waste Our Future (DWOF) project under the coordination of ACR+ realised 3 shorts movies for the Communication Campaign of the project. Starting from the Don’t Waste Our Future Charter 2015, students worked on the topics of expiration dates, doggy-bag and local food to spread the message of the project in support of the global right to food and against food waste. “Local food produces love”, “Check it before you throw it!” and “Ask for a doggy-bag, don’t be a pussy” are the titles of these three humoristic short movies, available online.

The DWOF project is a Development Education and Awareness project directed at European young people and local authorities to raise awareness on topics about food waste and the right to food, in order to encourage young people towards more responsible models of consumption and development. It aims to build a European alliance of youngsters against food waste and new models of sustainable development. In December 2016 the final event of the project will take place in Brussels, organised by ACR+ to showcase the project results, in particular the DWOF charter for local authorities and schools.
