The campaign’s main objective is to give visibility to the consequences of the incorrect disposal of medicines and their packaging, and their impact on the environment. Out-of-use and expired packaging and medicines should be deposited in the VALORMED containers which are available in almost all pharmacies and already in many para-pharmacies in the country. According to VALORMED data for 2022, 1 300 tonnes of packaging and medicine waste will be collected. This is almost 5% higher compared to what was achieved in 2021.
