During the European Week of Regions and Cities, ACR+ participated in a session organised by its member Cleantech Region on 9 October 2019, from 9:00 to 12:00 titled Circular Innovations for household Waste: Stimulating the Circular Economy for Textiles and Organic waste. This event was the result of a joint effort of the Twente Region, ACR+, and its member.

Cities and regions play a crucial role in the transition towards a Circular Economy. The Eastern Netherlands regions Twente and ACR+ member Cleantech have ambitious programmes aimed at reducing and reusing household waste. How does Europe facilitate and stimulate these projects and how can regions across Europe work together to close the loop and upscale textiles, electronics and organic waste?
