ACR+ and several of its members will be present at the Circular Economy European Summit (CEES) taking place on 15-17 November 2016 in Barcelona. This event is hosted by ACR+ Member the Ayuntamiento de Barcelona, in collaboration (amongst others) with another member, Lavola.
Structured over three key issues ‐ Cities, Business & People ‐ this three-day exhibition and congress seeks to boost dialogue across citizens, public and private sectors, to catalyse the transition towards the creation of urban circular systems that regenerate economy, ecology and people´s wealth. This edition will focus on the re‐industrialization of cities, exploring the challenges and opportunities of this systemic model in an urban context.
Three ACR+ members have already confirmed their participation in the event, as speakers during the so-called CEES Talks. Paris City Council will present the “White Paper on the Circular Economy of Greater Paris”, Zero Waste Scotland will explain its circular economy strategy in “Inspiring Change for Scotland’s Resource Economy” and WRAP will talk about “Employment and the Circular Economy”. In addition, both Paris City Council and Zero Waste Scotland will take part in the session on “The role of Governance in creating effective systems within the city”.
