ACR+ invited its members to participate in its webinar on EU financing mechanisms for peer to peer learning, which was streamed on 28 May 2019.

The webinar focused on two instruments. The first is TAIEX (Technical Assistance and Information Exchange Instrument), the instrument introduced by the European Commission to support public administrations with regard to the approximation, application and enforcement of EU legislation, as well as to facilitate the sharing of EU best practices. An increasing number of municipalities and public administrations are resorting to TAIEX for support with regulatory oversight and implementation and to learn about the practices implemented by their peers. The second is the peer review scheme offered by the Interreg Policy Learning Platform, which is currently accepting applications. This tool is targeted at local and regional public administrations that want to have their policy or programme implementation reviewed by other peers.

Panelists:

Andreas Versmann, Project manager, European Commission. "Introduction to TAIEX".

Hugh Coughlan, Regional coordinator, Dublin City Council: "Dublin City's experience with TAIEX".

Elena Ferrario. Thematic manager, Interreg Europe Policy Learning Platform: "Introduction to the peer review instrument of the Interreg Policy Learning Platform".
