ACR+ member ENT has published a report to help local authorities identify users of waste management services. The report particularly concerns high-density areas and provides a detailed account of the steps necessary to implement user identification systems. It also contains information regarding the types of technology available on the market for this purpose, their cost per unit and the aspects local authorities should have in mind in order to reach selective collection targets. To exemplify the information provided, the authors include several case studies from Catalonia, the rest of Spain and from other countries.
 
The initiative was carried out within the framework of the “Circular Design. Learning for Innovative Design for Sustainability” project, which took place between March and June 2018.
