The Circular Europe Network continues its work on the public procurement. Recently, a new segment in the CEN website was added specifically focusing on “Circular Economy and public procurement”. In it, ACR+ proposes guidelines addressing various aspects related to public procurement: circular procurement, public procurement of innovation, performance based specifications.
 
The section includes a “Circular Public Procurement Roadmap”. Following the steps in this roadmap, public authorities can take decisions on a strategic level, as well as take concrete steps on a practical level in order to integrate circularity in the procurement and tendering process.
 
Additionally, the CEN database includes several factsheets on circular public procurement, providing a more detailed overview of good practices. Notably, the latest cases present good practices of Schiphol Airport (The Netherlands) and ACR+ member Aalborg (Denmark).
