The URBANREC project organises the 1st technical workshop and networking event, organised by ACR+ member OVAM on 23 February 2018 (9:30 am to 2:00 pm) in Mechelen, Belgium.
During the technical workshop the first results will be presented regarding Fiber Reinforced Composites from recycled textile and plastic urban waste. Parallel to this, in the networking event some waste management instruments contributing to reduce bulky waste in Flanders will be presented.
Since June 2016, 21 partners have been working together in the European research project URBANREC focusing on an eco-innovative and integral bulky waste management system. The project focuses mainly on foam, textile, plastic and wood. The results of the project will help to outline the European framework for the management of bulky waste.
Attendance is free of charge. A lunch will be provided, offering an opportunity to meet the project partners and to further exchange ideas.
