ORÉE is coordinating a new project called FREPI (Individual Protection Equipment Recycling Chain), which addresses the demand from contractors and manufacturers to generate technical data on significant waste streams, specifically high-visibility clothing at the end of their life cycle. The aim is to valorise the materials of these garments, which are currently mostly incinerated. The project's objective is to conduct a comprehensive series of tests and trials to provide qualitative and quantitative information that will benefit the entire industry. This includes manufacturers involved in the eco-design of these products, industrial processors of these materials, and users who will incorporate these secondary raw materials into new industrial processes. The project seeks to find solutions for various sectors and through different processes.
