After several months of work with ACR+ member CITEO, the organising committee of the Rugby World Cup France 2023, local authorities, associations and mobility stakeholders, the 9 stadiums hosting the World Cup matches are equipped with waste sorting containers, both inside the venues and in the surrounding areas. Spectators attending the matches can sort their waste throughout their journey. This initiative encompasses mobility hubs such as train stations and airports, consumption areas around the stadium, its surroundings (entrances and exits), and the stadiums themselves. It is a comprehensive system designed to promote waste sorting everywhere and at all times.

Furthermore, CITEO is providing a communication kit to facilitate the implementation of waste sorting in public spaces and sports venues, extending the opportunity for waste reduction to all local public and private stakeholders.
