As part of a call for projects for the development of a complete plastic recycling sector in Wallonia, six collaboration agreements were signed between the Walloon Government, an ACR+ member, and selected project promoters. These projects will lead to the creation of industrial treatment units, operational by 2021, whose total annual capacity is estimated at 156,000 tonnes of plastic waste.  Complementary and specialised industrial approaches will help protect the environment from plastic pollution while promoting growth and innovation.
