The Fer-Play consortium gathered in Cartagena to celebrate 14 months of successful project execution. We are currently working hard to complete the social, environmental and economical Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) for each 7 value chains of alternative fertilizers that were selected. Two workshops were organized in September to gather information on the different barriers and opportunities that each value chain present. In addition, ACR+ is organizing a working group early November to discuss 5 best practice cases of regional authorities that have managed to support the production and use of alternative fertilizers. The information gathered will be used to write policy briefs to help policy makers to deliver successful strategies and instruments for the market deployment of alternative fertilisers. These briefs will be available in September 2024 on FER-PLAY’s website.
