The ACCESS project, that started in July 2022, is now finishing a first important phase. ACR+ and its member Sant'anna school of advanced studies have been interviewing different stakeholders in the 4 sports organisations covered by the project, as well as in their respective public authorities to picture the current state of play. More precisely, this first audit aimed at assessing sport organisations’ performances, practices and capacities to identify hotspots and opportunities for improvements in their environmental management. For the occasion, ACR+ travelled to Ireland and Wales to support the Gaelic Athletic Association and the Football Association of Wales in the process. The data retrieved from the interviews will be used to create the project Circular KPIs dashboard, that will help sport organisations and cities in identifying, benchmarking and monitoring their level of sustainability and circularity; then to find opportunities for improvement.
