Climate Chance, a global association fostering the involvement of non-state actors in combating climate change, has launched a call for proposals for its 2019 Africa Summit.

The call is geared at a wide variety of stakeholders –local authorities, NGOs, businesses, trade unions, scientists, representatives from agricultural, youth, women and indigenous organisations, educators and citizens – who are invited to submit initiatives to feed the work of the summit. The event will be held between 16 and 18 October in Accra, Ghana. Climate Chance is seeking proposals corresponding to the event’s nine themes, which you can find listed on its website.

Together with its member ORÉE and the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR), ACR+ is a co-pilot of the Climate Chance coalition on circular economy. The initiative aims to define common priorities of action in terms of co-working and governance, implementation and monitoring of circular economy initiatives.
