Urban REC 3 ENG small

At this stage, the URBANREC project aims to gather comprehensive and balanced input on legislative recommendations concerning the uptake of recycled plastics from bulky waste. ACR+ is inviting its members to share their views by filling in a short online survey. The gathered opinions will contribute to drafting policy recommendations to EU policy-makers.

One of the URBANREC project’s objectives is to propose a set of recommendations for specific legislation on bulky waste. For this purpose, ACR+ coordinates a Working Group on legal issues which gathers a range of relevant stakeholders and meets at regular intervals, discussing each time a specific topic related to the management of bulky waste and its integration into the EU legislative framework. The last meeting of the Legal Working group took place on 18 April 2018 and addressed the hurdles faced by industrial stakeholders to introduce second-hand plastic materials on the market. Another meeting will be held at the end of 2018 on the same topic but focusing on the hurdles for recycled textile materials.

The questionnaire can be accessed online and will remain open until 30 May 2018.
