To facilitate peer-to-peer learning between environmental authorities and help them ensuring good application of environmental law, the European Commission has developed a new instrument within the TAIEX programme: TAIEX-EIR Peer 2 Peer. This programme provides tailored support to Member States' authorities implementing environmental policy and legislation. More concretely, any national, regional or local authority involved in the implementation of environmental legislation can submit an application to benefit from a support activity, amongst the following:

  • expert missions from public environmental authorities to the requesting body
  • study visits of employees of the requesting body to another Member State institution in order to learn from peers and
  • single or multi-beneficiary workshops.

TAIEX-EIR Peer 2 Peer arranges and covers travel, accommodation and per diems for experts traveling on missions or to workshops as well as travel and accommodation for participants of study visits.

The TAIEX-EIR Peer 2 Peer programme could in particular be beneficial for ACR+ members to support and finance exchange of good practices between members of the network. Thus, during an exclusive webinar for ACR+ members, Andreas Versmann, project manager in charge of this programme at the European Commission, will present the progamme, its benefits and the different steps of the application process. The webinar will take place on 5 December 2017 at 11:00 (Brussels time).

Participants will then have the possibility to present their needs regarding expertise and exchange with Andreas Versmann on how the TAIEX-EIR Peer 2 Peer programme can be used.

Registration is open only to ACR+ members. Should you wish to participate, please contact ACR+ Secretariat.
