More than 60 participants from the 27 project partners and external stakeholders have gathered in Copenhagen from 29 May to 1 June 2017 for packed 4 days of events celebrating the end of the first year of the URBAN-WASTE project which started exactly one year before in Tenerife.

Hosted by the Municipality of Copenhagen and the University of Copenhagen, the 4 days were a perfect opportunity to reflect on the project with all its milestones, achievement and outreach accomplished so far. At the same time, new roadmaps have been set for all the activities coming up during the next six months. In order to prepare the content and ensure that all the 27 partners are up to date with the developments of the project the Steering Committee has met the first day to discuss the past, ongoing and upcoming tasks. It was also the opportunity to express appreciation to the representatives from two pilot cities, Lisbon and Ponta Delgada, who were advisory members of the Steering Committee during the first year and thank them for their contribution. Since the advisory positions are based on a rotational basis, the two new pilot cities/regions participating in the Steering Committee will be announced soon.

The next Municipality Forum and Mutual Learning event will take place in Nicosia, Cyprus in October.
