Categories: ACR+ Events

On the occasion of the European Week of Regions and Cities, ACR+ and EURATEX will organise a session on 10 October 2019, from 10:00 to 12:00 titled Circular economy practices through public procurement of textiles.

Moderated by the organisers, the meeting will allow experts from both the procurers and the producers' side to address the procurement of textile products rewarding materials recycling and products re-use (closed loops) across the whole life-cycles. The discussion will address the following questions:

  • Circular public procurement (CPP) of textiles products, what do we mean by that?
  • What are the views from procurers, what are the needs and what could be the relevant criteria?
  • What are the views of supplying companies?
  • Can we (all) support CPP through collaborations? What could the next steps be?

The invited public procurers include regions/municipalities in Scotland, France, Flanders, Wallonia, Catalonia, Haarlem, and others. Representatives of the Urban Agenda Partnership on Public Procurement and of the ProCirc project are welcome to attend.
