ACR+, CITEO, and MWE organised a Partner Event during the EU Green Week on Smarter, Greener Cities: from Waste to Resources”.

During this conference, two roundtables were proposed:

  • Big cities discussed and shared their best practices to increase selective collection performances (pay-as-you-throw; bring banks; out-of-home collection);
  • Start-ups exposef and discussrf with the municipalities their innovative solutions to optimise waste collection in urban areas.

14:20 - 15:05 TR#1 – Good practices in urban waste management (bring sites ; public places recycling ; pay-as-you-throw) with:
  • The city of Amsterdam
  • The city of Antwerp
  • The city of Maastricht
  • The city of Paris
15:05 - 15:45 TR#2 – Discussion between innovative Start-ups and Cities (big data ; smart devices solutions):
  • The Connect Sytee platform deployed in the public right-of-way that delivers much more than smart waste and recycling
  • Uzer proposes an app and a box connected to properly sort and consume better.
  • The Open Data Soft platform offers territories and companies to fully utilize the potential of data to make them powerful levers for economic development and management of their activity.
