The SWIM and H2020 Support Mechanism projects – Depollution of the Mediterranean & more sustainable use of scarce water resources – consists of two components, one on sustainable water management (SWIM Supporting Mechanism) and one on sustainable waste management (H2020 Supporting Mechanism), while ACR+ is involved in the latter. The concept of the SWIM-H2020 SM regional project is based upon a combination of awareness raising, policy advice, technical advice and capacity building.

Project co-financed by EuropAid.

Highlights

In the framework of the SWIM – H2020 Project, the ACR+ team took part in a mission in Israel on Construction and Demolition Waste (CDW), the market build-up issue to closing the production-consumption-waste loop in CDW management and the development potential solutions for glass recycling; in a training session in Amman addressed public officers on topics ranging from green growth strategies to the implementation of action plans; in a workshop in Tunis on sustainable public procurement (SPP), with the team presenting the European strategy and legislation.

As a side note, this is a reminder that the closing conference of SWIM-H2020 SM will be held on 8 and 9 April 2019 in Brussels.
